Our Dosha Assisting Program is a six-month program designed to help you grow behind the chair with education and hands-on mentorship alongside growing your clientele.
What You’ll Get:

Assisting program: Assist a Master Stylist 2 days a week while building your own clientele 3 days a week.

Ongoing Education: 10 advanced classes covering cutting, color, styling, and consultations taught by Dosha Master Stylists.

A Gradual Transition: Hands-on training shifts from more assisting time to more time behind the chair as you grow your business.

Guaranteed Pay: Earn hourly wages or commission—whichever is higher.

Do I need salon experience to apply as a stylist?
Licensed cosmetologists at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Whether you're beginning your career or looking for your next opportunity, we'll help determine the best path based on your skills and experience.
What happens after I submit my application?
After we receive your application, our hiring team will review your information and contact qualified candidates to discuss the next steps, which may include an interview and level test.
Can I choose which Dosha location I work at?
We'll work with you to find the best fit based on your preferred location, current opportunities, and business needs. With five salon locations in the Portland area, we strive to place stylists where they can be successful.
Will I continue to receive education after I'm hired?
Yes. Ongoing education is a core part of a career at Dosha. Stylists have access to advanced classes, mentorship, and continued skill development to help grow their technical abilities and careers.
