As many of you know we had a small dry run before the explosion with the flooding of our NW salon last year (main leak from upstairs condos), which caused over 70% damage and a 5-month closure to rebuild. During that time and again on October 19th, 2016, our team rallied! We were proud then and even more proud today of our team!
We are so very thankful that our team exited safely before the explosion at our NW location. It still seems a bit surreal but we wanted to take a moment and thank all of you! Our friends, family, and the Portland community who have helped keep our spirits strong.
We are creating this page for a number of reasons.
- To ensure we support our team (see below) as they have spent many years in the Dosha NW location growing their careers. We want to help them stay strong emotionally and financially as they continue to grow their careers through this unknown time.
- Stay connected and support our fellow Knob Hill businesses. We have included those around us that were physically touched (see below). As well as various links you might find interest in knowing about.
- Personally this is a bit therapeutic. The saying from George Luca "You simply have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Put blinders on and plow right ahead." could not be more relevant. Writing, speaking, and doing all the things needed to make sure our 25 years in business is celebrated with another 25 years.

Our Team
We are so thankful with the efforts of the first responders as their action saved many lives, including those of our northwest staff- who were all safely evacuated before the explosion hit. The outpouring of support from the community has been tremendous and received with grateful hearts.With that said the details and plans for our northwest location are still unclear. However we have moved our northwest staff to various Dosha locations so that they may continue onward.
