The Team Who Built Their Lives at Dosha
In an industry known for constant movement, six members of our Dosha salon team have celebrated more than 20 years with Dosha. Over the past two decades, they didn’t just build careers—they built lives. These are stories of long-term stylist careers and hairstylist career growth that have shaped our salon culture.
They started young, raised children, navigated loss, and grew into leaders, educators, mentors, and creatives. Their journeys are part of the foundation that has carried Dosha through 35 years and continue to define our career longevity in hair and beauty.
As Kalli said simply, “I grew up here.”
She was speaking about her own journey, but in many ways, that sentiment echoes across this entire group of experienced salon stylists.

Starting Young: Building Careers and Families
Some began their journey here barely into adulthood. Kim, Kristina, and others built their careers while raising young children, balancing growing books of business with bedtime routines.
For Kim, a career at Dosha meant something even more profound—it allowed her to raise three children as a single parent while doing work rooted in creativity and purpose. These are the kinds of hair stylist success stories that illustrate what building a career in the hair industry can look like when mentorship and community are present.

Belonging to Something Bigger: Dosha’s Team Culture
Daniel has been with Dosha for 24 years. When asked why he stayed, his answer was simple:
“It felt like something I wanted to be a part of.”
That sense of belonging shows up again and again in their stories. Shaddie shared, “What’s kept me here all these years is the people. We’ve grown together, supported each other, and built something that really matters.”
Kari speaks about becoming more responsible, more professional, and more fully herself over time.
“Here, community isn’t a buzzword it’s infrastructure.”
Kari also redefines what it means to be vibrant and confident in her 60s, proving that style and relevance are never bound by age.
This strong Dosha salon team culture is what allowed them to build not just careers, but roots.

Becoming Who They Are: Leadership and Mentorship
Over the years, these stylists stepped into stylist leadership and mentorship roles in many ways.
Kim grew into the role of Creative Director, earning awards and recognition while continuing to mentor the next generation of artists.
Kristina became an Aveda Purefessional, traveling nationwide to educate stylists beyond our walls as well as a multiple award winner.
Their stories remind us that Dosha has always been about more than hair.
It’s about people who show up year after year, growing, evolving, and supporting one another through every chapter of life.
These six artists didn’t just spend 20 years here. They helped build the culture that carried Dosha through 35 years and into the future. Their long-term stylist careers and dedication are proof that hairstylist career growth and career longevity in hair and beauty are possible when community, mentorship, and passion intersect.
